It’s Finally Friday!

Life as a full time working girl has been keeping me really busy.  Add to that the fact that my sister and her husband are staying here until they can move into their apartment, and suddenly our days are totally full.  It’s been tons of fun being able to hang out with Emily and Jake whenever we want to.  There’s been an on going Mario Kart tournament the last four nights.  We play boys vs. girls….on all 32 tracks.  Lets just say that Emily and I are undefeated.  Poor boys.

So, the other night I came home from work and was ambushed by my brother in law, Jake.

Once I surrendered, we combined forces and Jake and I attacked Mark when he got home from work.  Poor guy…he didn’t even see it coming.

009

Then, I may have turned against Jake and started a marshmallow gun war.

It was so much fun.  I love having a really cool family to hang out with.  Oh, and my dad has been out of town all week and he comes home tonight.  There may be plans of another marshmallow ambush. These things happen, you know.

Swag

So, my new job required that we go through training for a week and a half.  Some of it has been interesting and some of it has been hard to stay awake for….especially when we have to watch videos on Federal Regulations.  Anyways, the best part of the training was receiving this…..

002

Now, I know it looks like a plain ol’ reusable bag.  And it is.  But what is so cool about this particular bag was all of the goodies inside.  I love me a bag of swag.

005

Inside were the usual….pens…a mug…a flashlight…an ID holder…a keychain…a screwdriver…and a knife.  What makes all this stuff so cool is what you can't really see.  They all have the company’s logo on them….which I obviously didn’t show….for privacy and all.

But my favorite two items in the bag were these little lovelies.

006

An engraved pasta spoon and an ice cream scoop.  We’ve only just met, and yet they obviously know the way to my heart.

Beauty And The Beast

Last night the whole crew went and saw Beauty and the Beast at the Play Mill in West Yellowstone.

The Play Mill theater is really quite small, so no matter where you sat, you had a great view of the show.  Which is really wonderful….unless you are my niece, Sammi, who was a little scared of the loud music and especially of the Beast. (Hence the hands over her ears.)

Anyways, the play was wonderful.  The guys that played Gaston and Lumier were hilarious.  They were probably my two favorite characters in the show.  And boy could everyone sing!

If you ever go up to Yellowstone, you should totally check out the Play Mill.  It was one fun night.  I’m so glad we went.  Even though all morning I’ve had the songs from the movie running through my head.

4 Wheeler

My parents have a really cool friend named Kirk.  Kirk is the kind of guy who will show up at your house one night and tell you that he is leaving his 4 wheeler for a little while.  He just thought that the kids would enjoy riding around on it.  Well Kirk, we they did!

It was pretty fun to cruise the neighborhood on a big ol’ 4 wheeler.  I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve been on one.  As much fun as we had, I don’t think anyone had more fun than my Granny.

She rocked that 4 wheeler.

Mesa Falls

Last weekend was the perfect weekend to check out Mesa Falls.  So, we packed a picnic lunch and headed out to the mountains.  Boy was it pretty!

After seeing the waterfall, we checked out the little information center and museum.  Mark made a friends with a moose.  He sure was a friendly little fella.

Jaxon almost got his hand bit off…

And Mark and I barely got away from this bear!

087

It was a close one, but we managed to get away!
