Good Lookin'

Did someone call for a doctor?
Mark is loving Halloween this year. With his job in Pharmaceutical Sales, he visits doctors all day long. So for Halloween why not dress up as one, right? We hunted for hours yesterday to find him a wig. Of course we procrastinated, and boy there wasn't much to choose from. So we bought this one and just gave it a little trim. I know...all of that beautiful long curly hair is gone now. So sad. Happy Halloween!

Ice Cream

Ice cream was always the dessert on hand as I was growing up. It felt like we ate some almost every night. Now we probably didn't eat it that often, but I know we ate lots. We still do. Despite how much ice cream our family of seven ate, I don't think our freezer ever looked like this.

Yeah...so if you look closely you will find that there are NINE cartons of ice cream in our freezer! Who on earth ever has nine cartons of ice cream in there freezer. Ok, so maybe the Duggar family with 17 kids has had nine cartons of ice cream in their freezer. If they are even allowed to eat ice cream. But they are totally the exception. They don't count. In our defence, we did have a bunch of family over that day. I think they must have eaten most of it. I'm sure we hardly had any. Really, maybe just a bowl or two.
This happened a couple of years ago. I was randomly looking through our really old picture files and I came across this beauty. I just couldn't help but laugh. I love that we found this picture worthy, cuz really how often are you going to see a freezer looking like that?! In fact, I think I'm going to go eat some ice cream right now. Oh, and just in case you were wondering...we only have one carton of ice cream in our freezer!

Huge Waste of Time

So...say you're planning on being productive sometime soon...not anymore. Click here. This should keep you busy for a while. It's pointless. A total waste of time. Once you start, you can't stop. But I did it, and you know you'll do it too.

Anybody Got An Idea?

So, my little sister Emily might kill me for this, but in order for her to find out, she would actually have to look at my blog for a change. Oh well, I'm not scared.
She just started her freshman year at BYU-I. Such a cutie...totally loving it and having a blast. Apparently she is having too good of a time because she never updates her blog, or comments on mine anymore. I guess she has better things to do. She said something about homework...whatever. I know the real reason she is so busy...about two weeks into the semester, she started hanging out with a boy.
A returned missionary boy.
Freaky. I know. Things have gradually progressed over the last few weeks and they are officially dating. I'll leave out most of the juicy details...let's just say she had to buy her roommates ice cream.
Last week I was talking to her on the phone, and jokingly I talked about making up an quiz for him to take with random questions on it. You know so he can get the Katie Willis stamp of approval. What guy wouldn't want that?!? She thought it was funny and even told him about it. He laughed and basically said to bring it on. I was really just kidding when I mentioned it. But, if neither one of them care...why not. I'm up for the challenge. So, here's where the few of you who read this come in...
Got any funny or good questions for me?
I need help coming up with more questions. I want it to be funny and light hearted. Random even...just not super serious or anything. So, I figured I might as well pick your brains. The more the merrier. Right? Dad, Mom...this is your chance to to have the random questions you know you have about him answered.

*P.S. Emily, if you do actually read this...I want you to know that I'm doing this for you. Aren't I such a great sister!

People Say Stupid Things

Why do people say stupid things? To a complete stranger. I just don't get it.
The other day, I was at work. It was a normal day...I was working alone at the time. Straightening things around the store, helping customers, and whatever else. So, this lady walks in. I have no idea who she is. I say hi, just like I always do. She takes one glance at me and then says....
"Oh my goodness. You are the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen. You are so cute. When are you due?"
SERIOUSLY! I wanted to smack her, but I couldn't. All I could do was to try and smile and politely inform her that I wasn't pregnant. The best part was then she told me, "You should really stand up straighter. But, don't mind me. I just say crazy things."
Yeah. Whatever. Stupid lady.
Maybe instead of blogging, I should be exercising.
Then again...Maybe not.

Short

Today I finally did it. I cut my hair. Short. Well, short for me anyways. Mark has been wanting me to do it for a while now. So, finally I took the plunge and had it cut. I really like it.

He's out of town right now on business and he's home tomorrow. He's going to be so surprised. I really hope he likes it too.

Now you can have your very own...

Vice President. All this and more can be yours. The best part is...they're free! Just what you always wanted, I know. Who wouldn't want a finger puppet of their favorite candidate...or their not so favorite candidate.I might have to print some of these off for Mark...totally awesome Family Home Evening activity, don't you think? I think they are pretty darn funny. You can get them here. They have McCain and Obama as well. All you have to do is print them off and fold your little heart out. So, go get them and get folding. You can thank me later for the hours of endless entertainment.

Just Like Old Times

Friday was such a fun day. I got to see so many familiar faces...most of which were surprised to see me. I had so much fun spending the day at Corky's Daughter. I mean really, how can you not love it here...there are so many fun things to look at.
There were moments throughout the day where it felt like a party with all of the people who came in. I'm so glad I got to catch up with so many of them. These super cute girls are a few of the people I got to see today...my good friend Laura and a few of the good old Corky's crew. I am so glad I got to see you all. I can't wait to see the whole Corky's crew when we set for Christmas next month!
Well, being there really made me want to surround myself with cozy fall and Halloween decorations. I love this time of year, and I totally love to decorate for it. The sad thing is that these are the only Halloween decorations I have out so far...I know...it's so sad. They are super cute, but so lonely on my mantle. My plan is to get my house decorated tomorrow after General Conference. We'll see how far I get. It'll be fun to pull out everything and see were it will all go in our new house.
